We Are What We Are, But How Can We Shape Our Legacy, & Is It Important?

Writer: Scott PeddieScott Peddie

How do we define our living legacy? Here I talk about the lessons from the life of the pioneering 'flying doctor', Anne Spoerry. 'Spoiler alert': there is a twist in her story - one that leaves us questioning our own legacies and how we deal with the good and the bad aspects that are inherent in our journey.

Such questions are difficult to contemplate. Part of the reason is that the answers we receive are both meaningful and impactful; our lives really do make a difference, for better and for worse.

As the Philosopher Socrates once said: 'The unexamined life is not worth living'. I would counter that it might still be worth living, but awareness of what motivates us, where we find meaning, and how we love others, enhances our existence immeasurably.

I hope you find this reflection useful as you make your own way in the world.

As always, I am available to discuss any of these issues raised in the video. You can get in touch via the contact form and arrange an initial appointment.

Take care, Scott
